A gentle, reassuring audio story for children whose thoughts sometimes travel too far into tomorrow.

Some children worry deeply about things that haven’t happened yet. They may wonder what will happen when things change, worry about growing up, becoming separated from the people they love, or begin asking those much bigger questions about illness, dying and death.

The Star That Worried About Tomorrow has been created to hold those worries gently.

Through a calming story, soothing imagery, relaxation and soft music, children are encouraged to come back from all the frightening “what ifs?” and into the moment they are in now.

Rather than dismissing a child’s fears or telling them not to worry, the story helps them recognise that they don’t need to have all the answers about tomorrow today. It offers reassurance around uncertainty, change, loss and the natural fears that can arise when children begin to understand that life doesn’t always stay the same.

It may be particularly helpful for children experiencing:

• worries about the future or things changing

• fear of illness, dying or losing someone they love

• separation or changes within their family

• anxiety around growing up or getting older

• repetitive “what if?” thoughts

• bedtime worries, when big thoughts can suddenly feel even bigger

• a need for reassurance, comfort and emotional settling

Designed to be listened to quietly at bedtime or whenever a child needs a little help settling their thoughts.
